We are pleased to announce our panelists and facilitator for the "So You Want To Be A Consultant?" event to be held at our office. If you’ve ever considered becoming a consultant, this is a must attend event. A fifteen-year veteran of Union Bank, Richard has been the driving force behind its increase in diverse business supplier spend from $13 million in 1996 to $120 million  in 2012.  Prior  to his current  position, Mr. Chacon  worked with Pacific Bell for 13 years in the personnel and supplies distribution departments.  

Richard is an Executive Board member and Vice Chair of the Financial Services Roundtable for Supplier Diversity, a board member and Treasurer of the Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council, a board member of the Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council, and a founding member and current board member of the San Diego Regional Minority Supplier Development Council. Mr. Chacon is also a Corporate Advisor to the Greater Los Angeles African American Chambers of Commerce, the Asian Business Association-LA, and to the California Service Disabled Veteran’s Business Alliance.

Her talents are strongest at the intersection of elderly/aging, technology and business development. Karen’s experience includes management and consulting roles in senior housing development and providing services to the elderly and their caregivers. She also served as primary caregiver for her 94-year old uncle.

Karen served as Chief of Staff to the Mayor of Cambridge (MA) and was later appointed as Trustee for the Cambridge Health Alliance health care system. In addition, Karen has been trustee for numerous senior housing and senior services organizations including the National Caucus and Center for Black Aged. Karen volunteers for Stanford University Business School alumni activities where she received her MBA. Karen earned her BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of Michigan.
